A great example of 21st century technology that has been remodeled and undergone many changes are earbuds. People used to just carry around boom boxes or have to listen to their music out-loud because there were no headphones to allow them to listen to their music privately. If you wanted to listen to music you had to be aware of everyone around you, especially family members if they were working. The introduction of portable headphones boomed in the 70s where people could listen in peace but they had to carry around cassette players where their headphones could connect. Since then the headphones adapted and got extremely popular and in the early 2000s earbuds were introduced where you just put the earbud in your ear instead of covering your entire ear. Performance art allows each individual to interpret art any way they choose. Art can be anything you want and there is no wrong or right way to create. Performance art lets people be as expressive as they want in any way shape or form. It can be dance, poetry, music, performance, paintings, sculptures, graffiti, everyday stuff turned into artwork, etc, there are infinite ways to express yourself and to create art. Performance art brings everyone together because it is unique and people can talk about each interpretation and what emotions arise when they look at it and everyone will have different opinions and responses. Dance is my favorite performance art because I feel most connected to the emotions that pour out of each performance. There are so many genres and I resonate most with hip hop because I love the beat of music and watching street performers feel the beat and move with the music. The first musical I watched on Angel de Quinta's Stage door was the cast of Hair on late night with David Letterman, The music was extremely catchy and the costumes were amazing. I loved the hairstyles and varieties of outfits and self expression. I was obsessed with the main characters hair and jewelry. I also loved the set and the stage lighting. The purple lights gave it a good vibe. The outfits and jewelry were all fitting for the time period it was set in which I could assume was the 60s and after researching it found out it was set in 1968. The audience could easily figure out it was the 60s just because of the stereotypical style of that time period. I also loved how the cast was interactive with the audience and sang in the isles. The next musical clip I watched was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I loved the outfits because you could tell who was wealthy and who was poor. The mise en scene in every movie or show is very important to help the viewer understand where the setting is, the time period, the characters, and more. The mise en scene in a Christmas carol is extremely important because there are three different settings visited throughout the movie. The three spirits that visit him on the night of Christmas eve take Scrooge to his past, present and his future. Mise en scene is crucial because it helps the audience know where the setting is and what time period it is. For example, the audience knows when scrooge is visiting the memories of  Christmas eve as a child because of the clothes he's wearing, the presence of his classmates, also when the settings change the screen appears a little darker to show a memory. The audience is also aware that the time period has changed because the spirit takes him on an obvious journey to the new time period by adding spinning or the bells that ding each time the memory begins.
