Raul Cuero Interview
Dr. Cuero believes universality expectations allow you to extrapolate local judgement including the society and culture and allow yourself to overcome prejudice. In order to challenge local obstacles like prejudice you need to go above society and culture in order to transcend. You can transcend obstacles by looking at the universal picture because you aren't limited to what society thinks of you, you focus on helping yourself and not the judgement of others around you. Dr. Cuero thinks creativity is how one perceives nature and being a good observer/ playing in nature, not art. He thinks man made items cause one to have limited creativity and that ideas come about by conversing with other people and things in nature. I think Dr. Cuero makes some good points about how kids spend too much time with technology instead of playing outside but I think combining observing nature with technology can help someone have a more varied creativity. He also believes American education has a good foundation but there is a limited intellectual process which is just to send kids to school to find a job. I agree, I think the school system is limited and needs to teach kids basic knowledge on how to live on their own, not just find a job. I think the most valuable lesson is to learn by doing because it creates new knowledge.
I love, "I think the school system is limited and needs to teach kids basic knowledge on how to live on their own, not just find a job. I think the most valuable lesson is to learn by doing because it creates new knowledge." I agree with you!!!
