BIO Hannah Pierce Picture


Hi guys my name is Hannah Pierce. I am from a small coastal town in Massachusetts called Newburyport. I'm right on the border of New Hampshire and about 45 minutes from Boston. I have a cat and 2 dogs my family rescued. I also have 3 older brothers. I love the beach especially since I grew up living on the water and I love hiking, hammocking, watching Netflix and hanging out with my family and friends. I'm interested in the environment and how to create more sustainable ways of living. I am undecided here at UT and still trying to figure out what I want to do in my future.

performance art definition

Performance art allows each individual to interpret art any way they choose. Art can be anything you want and there is no wrong or right way to create. Performance art lets people be as expressive as they want in any way shape or form. It can be dance, poetry, music, performance, paintings, sculptures, graffiti, everyday stuff turned into artwork, etc, there are infinite ways to express yourself and to create art. Performance art brings everyone together because it is unique and people can talk about each interpretation and what emotions arise when they look at it and everyone will have different opinions and responses. Dance is my favorite performance art because I feel most connected to the emotions that pour out of each performance. There are so many genres and I resonate most with hip hop because I love the beat of music and watching street performers feel the beat and move with the music.
